As a kid, I saw a an old b&w movie called THE STRANGLER OF BLACKMOOR CASTLE (a type of early giallo but called a "krimi" and produced in west germany in the early 60s), and it had a scene where the hooded killer puts a rope or a cable across a road at night and beheads one of his victims, a motorcyclist. Normally it wouldn't be high enough but I'm figuring that the front wheel was low enough to get under the chain and then the slack in the chain with a little help from physics slid up and lopped that melon clean off.
