Motorcyclist Killed in Collision with Car

Brazil- The victim, only named as ''P.'', was killed on state highway 362 that connects Massapê to Santana do Acaraú-CE. He had been traveling from Sobral to Remédio when he tried to cross the road and ended up being sharply overtaken by a white Toyota Hilux SW4 that was traveling from Fortaleza to Sobral. The motorcycle was thrown a distance of fifteen metres from the scene due to the severity of impact. Although still registering signs of life, he unfortunately died at the scene of the accident.

The driver of the car was breathalysed at the scene before being formally arrested.

70 to 75 MPH would be enough to send a motorcycle 15 meters away from the point of impact.
