Motorcyclist Was Decapitated After Accident Involving Cable
Bucaramanga, Santander, Colombia A 28-year-old motorcycle taxi driver, Diego F.G.V., was decapitated after an accident on a section of the road located just a few meters from the Modelo Prison. Preliminary reports suggest that the driver of a tractor-trailer may have snapped a cable, which then hung loose across the road and wrapped around Diego's neck. According to a witness: [QUOTE]The truck was going uphill, snapped a cable, and due to the force, the cable crossed into the other lane. A motorcyclist coming downhill got caught with it around the neck.[/QUPTE] It was noted that heavy cargo vehicles are prohibited from using that stretch of road. |
