They are speaking English mixed with Jamaican Patwah/patois slang. I heard “Bumboclaat” several times in this clip, and is one of the most commonly used expletives of the region. There is no exact English translation for this word, but it is mostly used as an exclamation of shock, surprise, anger, frustration or for any other intense emotions. |

Police investigators have identified the motorcyclist and his female pillion who perished in a fiery motor vehicle crash along the Laughlands main road in St Ann on Friday night. (June 21) The deceased are 31-year-old R. K. and 37-year-old T. H, both of Discovery Bay, St Ann. Reports are that sometime after 9:00 p.m., R.K. was driving his motorcycle with T.H as the pillion, when on reaching a section of the roadway, he overtook a motorcar. He then collided into a Subaru Legacy motorcar. Both the motorcar and the motorcycle later caught fire. The police were alerted and on their arrival, both were seen lying motionless on the roadway. They were subsequently pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the motorcar was assisted to hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries. The police are continuing their probe into the incident. |
