Police interviewed Nareumon but said it was a ‘’family disagreement’’ after the boy’s father said he did not want to take it further.

Lt Col Samat Gringaew said the baby did not have any injuries but would be checked again at hospital.

He added: ‘’We will not proceed with charges against the mother because if she goes to prison, who will take care of the child?’’

Fucking Christ, why is it always so much more infuriating when it's the mother doing shit like this? Fathers abusing and killing their kids are bad enough, but it's like it's somehow worse when you see a woman do that to a person who she carried inside of her own body for the better part of a year. Total miscarriage of the maternal instinct. The love that exists between a parent and a child is probably the only love that actually exists in this world. It makes civilization possible. But meanwhile, we've got assholes and daffy bitches like this running around putting their own selfish jealousy ahead of the lives of their children.
