8pm on 14th July 2016 Christiane de Souza Andrade aged 46 + her 7 year old daughter, left home at Estácio for a quick shopping trip. After they had finished, they were approached by a man. He demanded money to which Christiane replied that she didn't have any. The man took out a knife + Christiane said "What is it, lad, I know who you are". She was then stabbed in the neck twice. The little girl ran out into the street + stopped a taxi. The taxi driver put Christiane + her daughter in the car + took them to the hospital but Christiane died on the way. The video was recorded by the taxi driver. The little girl, covered in her mother's blood, begs for her not to die. The murderer was identitfied 3 days later as Rojelson Santos Baptista aged 36. Apparently he + Christiane had previously dated for 3 years. Members of the public beat him up + he was taken to the hospital where he admitted to the crime. Christiane also has a son, Wallace de Souza Andrade aged 27.               Wallace:   |
