Relative to the below incident, 22-year-old Monte Henderson was charged with two counts of 1st Degree Involuntary Manslaughter and two counts of Armed Criminal Action by the Circuit Attorney's Office.

Driver of Vehicle #2: 34-year-old Hispanic Female (uninjured)

Passenger 2 of Vehicle #2: 15-year-old Hispanic Female (stable)

Driver of Vehicle #3: 61-year-old Black Female (stable)
Victim/Pedestrian #1: Laticha Bracero, 42-year-old Hispanic Female, of the 3500 block of W. Monroe St., Chicago, IL
Victim/Pedestrian #2: Alyssa Cordova, 21-year-old Hispanic Female, of the 3500 block of W. Monroe St., Chicago, IL

Preliminary information revealed the Driver of Vehicle #1 was travelling eastbound on Olive at a high rate of speed from Compton up until the crash at 18th Street.

The Driver of Vehicle #1 violated red electric signals along the way. When the Driver of Vehicle #1 approached 18th Street, he violated the red electric signal and sideswiped the front end of Vehicle #2, which was travelling north on 18th Street.

After this collision, Vehicle #1 starts to rotate clockwise, and strikes two pedestrians who were walking north across Olive within the east crosswalk with the right-of-way.

The two pedestrians were thrown to the north sidewalk of Olive. Vehicle #1 then struck the front-end of Vehicle #3 in a T-Bone collision as Vehicle #3 was travelling west on Olive approaching 18th Street.

Pedestrian #1 was pronounced deceased at the scene. Pedestrian #2 was transported to the hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
