even if he'd switched the engine off it would've taken a while for it to coast to a stop...those trucks weigh in at a few tons... also brakes won't work as well with the engine off.... looks to me like he just made a split second misjudgement...tried to rev it up and turn it when he should've braked and maneuvered around... those things are hard as hell to turn.....here's me taking one for a spin  · |

These trucks usually have 4 Wheel steering, Newer customs have on board computers that automate the sequence. Older ones, or lower budget ones have a manual lever / switch for turning them. Wonder if a failure is a long those lines, because these trucks generally can turn in some very small places. And in the video I didn't see the rear wheels turn, looked like they tried but went back straight.  |

there's monster trucks and FMX on the beach just down the road from my place tomorrow.....i will be sure to be standing away from the fence with a clear path in case i need to run  that last video of the holland accident is pretty hardcore....those thing weigh tons...each tyre is 800lbs!!!! |

Don't these things have a clutch? Gas pedal stuck or not...push in the clutch and it's fine. Maybe they don't have one I guess. Anyhow, monster trucks are stupid anyway. "Duh, watch me drive dis ting over dat car over dare." <- seriously...this really impresses adults? I can understand a kid getting a thrill out of it because they are...well... KIDS! But how is it enjoyable for an adult to watch a truck drive over a car....over ....and over....and over... and over... and over... and over... and over...???? It's just like racing. Boring shit. Nothing new happens in the second lap, or the 3rd lap or the 4th lap or the 5th lap or the 6th lap or the 7th lap or the 8th lap or the 9th lap or.... the only time these things get interesting is when it goes bad. Which means some unlucky individual is getting hurt bad or killed. Ah well. To each their own I guess. |
