Peru, Just after midnight last Thursday Diana P.H, 53, and her daughter Litzy K.E.H, 30, during the state of emergency declared by President José Jerí to combat rising crime in the country, were walking a few meters from their home when one of 3 robbers first intercepted Diana, stabbed her and stole two cell phones from her before chasing her daughter, Litzy, who tried to defend herself with her backpack, but was also brutally stabbed.

After the stabbing they both collapsed in the street and died.

Police arrested the 3 that afternoon. Among those captured is D.A.P.A. (25), who was found in possession of the victims' cell phones. During his interrogation, the detainee provided information that allowed the location of the other 2 suspects, identified as L.I.J.S.B (17) and P.J.S.S.B (16).

All 3 are members of the criminal gang Los Fatales Puñaleros del Este (The Fatal Stabbers of the East), dedicated to aggravated robberies using a knife.

D.A.P.A. has a history of aggravated robbery in 2015 and 2022, as well as illegal possession of weapons and drugs. At a second home 200 packages of cocaine base paste and 10 bags of marijuana were seized.

The two minors will remain in custody while the investigation into aggravated robbery resulting in death continues.
