Mobile Crane Runs Over Head of Woman That Falls with Her Scooter
Mumbai. A 34-year-old woman died after a hydraulic crane ran over her head on Saturday. Police said the incident took place around 6.20 p.m. The victim, identified as Sujata Puri, worked at VLCC in Nerul and was on her way home when she was hit by the crane. Ms. Puri fell from her two-wheeler when it skid after crossing a speed breaker. The crane, which was coming from behind, ran over her head killing her on the spot. Police said the crane’s driver has been detained. “After formalities, a case will be registered and the driver will be arrested," a police spokesman said. Ms. Puri leaves behind her husband, a caterer by profession, and two children. |

Please explain something to me: how exactly is it the crane driver's fault? Unless it was a hit and run. She seemed to lose control of her bike and took a spill - followed by her brains.

Although brutal, that is the way to go. She was so caught up in her own crash that she probably didn't even know what hit her.

Only formality here is leaving the scene unless he pulled over off camera and stayed with the crane. She caused her own demise |
