Missing Woman Found Dead at Sea Shore, Down 50 Ft Cliff
The body of a woman was rescued from a beach and it is being investigated if it is the person who has disappeared in recent days. Personnel from the Naval Prefecture, in collaboration with the Police Special Risks Rescue Group, extracted the body from a section of cliffs in Trinidad and Tobago. The body was spotted floating next to the beach break and once it was rescued it was returned to the top of the cliff. Police are now investigating the circumstances behind the murder of 36-year-old mother of three K M.P. Her body washed ashore hours after her pickup was found crashed at a beach miles away in the community, having gone over a cliff there. According to police, P.s’ body was seen lodged between some rocks around 4.20 pm by a fisherman who contacted officers who were by then part of a search team which included fisherfolk, villagers and the police. Officers surveying her body after it was taken out the water, however, saw visible marks of violence on her neck and back. This prompted them to detain a male relative for questioning. P M’s gold-coloured Hilux, which she had left her home in, the day before, had been found hours earlier on the shoreline at a beach, having apparently gone off the road and over a 50-foot cliff. Officers were able to immediately identify it was her vehicle, as her driver’s permit and that of her husband, A. E, were still inside the vehicle. Police had received anonymous calls about the crashed vehicle being seen on the beach and went to the scene. Policemen responded but were initially unable to get to the vehicle. Officers had to take off their shoes and part of their uniforms to make the climb down to the beach area. P.M’s husband, an offshore worker, rushed to the site after hearing news of the police’s find. He reportedly told officers that his wife had surgery two weeks ago and since then had become distressed and seemed to be worried. He reportedly surmised to police that this depression may have pushed his wife into committing a suicide act. He told officers he and her two children, a three-year-old girl and her brother, 8, were distraught. The body was viewed by District Medical Officer and ordered removed to the mortuary, from where it will be transferred to the Forensic Sciences in St James for an autopsy. Officers will await the results of the autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. The woman had left home around 10 am on Wednesday, telling her children she was going to visit her mother. However, she never returned home that night and her husband reported her missing around 6.30 am the next day. However, it was only when the police discovered her empty vehicle that it sparked a search by fisherfolks, members of the public and police at sea. |

Got to give the rescuer credit for going down without a harness and with natural fiber rope.. Must be on a serious budget not having extrication gear |

Is that the position the truck was found? Because then how’d her body throw itself into the water. Or did the police or others upright the truck. It’s been done before, person kills their partner and fakes a vehicle accident. Will be very interested what the conclusion is at the inquest. |

I am digging that grotto, beautiful rocks, beach and water. I would want to visit, except that area is probably populated by sullen, tribal and dangerous people...

She was pretty... nice smile and very nice shoulders and arms... I like how she held her hair with her left hand... very sad to see this woman go.
