Mining Truck Tyre Blow Kills Employee
An employee (26), of a Russian stone crushing plant in the died while trying to remove the rear wheel from a mining truck. Video shows the last seconds of his life. The driver drove his truck into the hangar with the intention of removing the rear outer wheel. He failed to sort it out and there was a sudden depressurization of the inner wheel. The tyre which can weigh from 1 to 5.5 tons, instantly flew off the axle and crushed the driver. From his injuries, he died on the spot. |
