Brazil, Residents of the West Zone of Rio de Janeiro, were surprised by a scene of extreme violence last Saturday when a man identified as "Mimi", being the head of the collection of merchants in the area, was shot dead on the busy street fair.

According to preliminary information, the victim was a member of a militia group operating in the area, responsible for collecting illegal fees at local establishments.

Mimi, who was already known by traders and residents of the area, was fatally shot in the middle of a public road, causing panic among those who witnessed the action. He was hit multiple times in the head.

The execution took place in one of the neighborhood's busiest spots in the middle of Saturday morning, when many people drove around the area to shop.

Reports indicate the gunmen arrived quickly, opened fire and fled without a trace.

So far, there's no official information about the perpetrator of the crime. Military Police were activated and isolated the area for intelligence work.

Residents, frightened, claimed they heard multiple gunshots and ran to protect themselves. Many avoid commenting on the case for fear of retaliation, since the crime may be related to the dispute between criminal factions and paramilitary groups operating in the West Zone.

Think that was the actual driver of the car that crawled over the center console afraid to get out on his side where the shooting occured. Maybe he was afraid the shooter didn't want to leave any witnesses.
