The Aztecs (located in the Mexico valley) didn't have a "flying pole ritual" those were the Totonaca tribe, located in the state of Veracruz, much closer to the Mayan tribe. The ritual you mention is probably: "Voladores de Papantla" (Papantla flyers) Mexico's territory was inhabited by many tribes (Kumiai, Tarahumara, Aztec, Mayan, Totonacan, Tlaxcaltecan, Mixtecan, among many others.) Curiously most Americans when thinking of a Mexican person they conjure the image of a member of the Mixtecan tribe, which are the ones who have immigrated into the United States to work in the fields, they are the shortest people among the indigenous Mexican tribes (around 4' to 5' "tall"), the Yaqui tribe are among the tallest (Up to 6' 3") The Kikapoo chief (State of Coahuila) is 6' 7" tall The indigenous population of Mexico is similar in variety to the population in the American territory that was inhabited by a wide variety of tribes (Apaches, Sioux, Black feet, Iroquois, Cheyenne etc.) |

He's not just some nutter.!! He's a scientist from the flat earth society. He and his buddies were having a discussion about the Mexican jumping bean. He wanted to prove that he could set the world record for the highest Mexican jumping bean. Unfortunately even though he won he was unable to collect his prize.          |
