In Reynosa, Tamaulipas state, Mexico, a 31-year-old woman, Kasandra "G", shot herself in the head in front of her husband (name undisclosed, I'll call him "A" for clarity) and children.

"A" took her to a nearby hospital, where he explained to staff that she had shot herself, before immediately leaving the premises. Kasandra was pronounced dead four hours later.

According to relatives, Kasandra's husband physically and psychologically abused her. She had separated from her spouse and gone to live with her parents, but "A" found her and forced her back into their marital home.

After leaving the hospital, "A" went to his house to take his three minor children. Where "A" and the children went is unknown, and Kasandra's parents admitted worry over what would happen to the children.
