Looking at those odds of being in a car vs plane accident in your lifetime are a bit skewed because people don’t fly nearly as much as using a car, so of course you are more likely to have a car accident than in a plane!  But you can use statistics to show many different things. For instance, you could ask ‘out of 1000 flights/car rides, what are the chances of being in a fatal accident’, or even something like ‘in a plane vs car accident, what are the chances of survival’… You can get whatever stat you’re looking for. |
