Colombia - Two alleged members of the "Gaitanista" Organized Armed Group who were moving on a motorcycle, murdered Y.R.F.D., a merchant from the municipality of Simití, in the south of the department of Bolívar, apparently because she refused to pay 'vaccine'.

The bloody events were recorded on May 25 in the afternoon, in her home, located in the Pupa neighborhood, while the worker, 40 years old, was with her sentimental partner, a recognized doctor from the municipality and with whom she attended her pharmacy.

In a video that circulates on social networks and that was recorded by the victim, one of the hitmen is seen intimidating the woman in her business, apparently collecting the 'vaccine' which she refused to pay and for which she confronted the subject who murdered her minutes later.

In the video she is telling the killer, "who has ever heard of someone asking for extortion money for their business where one works to make a living? You want money? Get a job."

Such a shame. I wonder why didn’t ask her neighbors what the protocol was in such scenarios? I would think they would advise her on whether to pay or not regarding the legitimacy of the perceived threat.

In the hometown of my parents, everybody is complicit to the gangs. You are not given a choice. ‘Protection’ money is forced insurance; you could live in a town of 2 people, and have to pay protection money. The neighbours would either say to not get them involved, or to just pay up.

If someone tries to extort you with threats to your life, you agree to pay, act completely compliant, then put a bullet in the back of their head next time they aren’t looking.
