They also have a reputation (along with East Africans in general - cf. Olympic results over the years) of being excellent long distance runners. In the situation depicted, however, that particular skill didn't serve.

I'm surprised that none of them tried taking a deep breath and diving deep. I guess pearl diving was not a secondary skill among that lot. They just awaited their fate.

These are clips from National Geography Chanel's documentary name LAWLESS OCEAN in which they are investigating the murder of 2 innocent Pakistan fishing boats that was in the area of Somali coast at the wrong place at the wrong time. So far they were mistaken as pirates but actually 30 innocent fishermen being hunt down like a game. The conclusion of the investigation will be air sometime this week on National Geography Chanel.
