True, that is their nature. The one thing that was keeping their brutal nature in check was Saddam Hussein's equally brutal dictatorship. Hussein was an asset to the US for keeping these craven camel jockeys under control. When Bush toppled Hussein all the insanity came to the surface. George W Bush enabled ISIS to flower.

pretty sure Eddy got it right. Had Bush and his goons not gone to Iraq on a big, fat fucking lie about non-existent WMDs and got Saddam overthrown, Islamic terrorism (which has always existed but was weak and immature) wouldn't have festered and thrived the way it has ever since. As an American I support human rights, I have no choice. As an American I also believe that the only way to keep extremists in check is through dictatorship. Where Islamists are concerned, good ole soviet-era dictatorship is our friend. Where Islamists are concerned, repression through lethal force, imprisonment and whatever other means dictators have at their disposal, works for me. But Bush and his goons, they didn't have the long-term strategy in their visor. They were under ENORMOUS pressure (and that I get, I really truly get) to get us Americans the proverbial pound of flesh after 9/11. So once some clean-shaven fuckboy in the administration's back offices mentioned, 'let's make Saddam our scapegoat for this,' none of the other republicants thought safe to argue against this. The result is that the Middle East is in much, much worse shape today and it regularly spills over on our lands. So yea. Eddy got it right. Thanks Eddy. And Merry Christmas to one and all. And Islamic extremists can suck on it. Let the hills of the orient bathe in their warm, bubbling blood in this new year 2017 year. |
