Not a good sign when you see a deviated trachea.. When the trachea is pushed to one side like it appears, that means the pressure on the affected side is lost.. Due to a collapsed lung perhaps..

How is it that if you cut your wrist you can bleed to death but rip off the entire arm and there's no blood?

So I know exactly what to do if I found someone bleeding out from one of their extremities, cut it off at the trunk and they'll be all good.

The human body is pretty resilient.. Sometimes, the vessels pumping blood to that extremity cut off naturally. Its the body's natural countermeasure for this type of traumatic amputation.. The trauma itself to the soft tissues can also help with blood loss (kinda like kinking a garden hose). Most of the time they bleed out
