Of the 11 men killed in Tonalá, Jalisco almost all were bricklayers, and expected the weekly payment of their patron, to take for lunch to their families, who were waiting for them.... Families who will be in the helpless, the orphanhood, await a justice that may never come.
Today are the candles, tragedy, and hopelessness, in the same place where the 11 victims were riddled.

Every Saturday they would gather at Rucias Negras Street to drink beer and wait for their pattern 'El Güero' to pay them for the week. 'El Güero' was a contractor, lived in a house located in front of the crime scene. Their dwelling was two stories: the top floor to half construction. I had two kids and I was married. From a young age, 'El Güero' worked as a bricklayer, a trade inherited from his father Salvador Plasencia.

Both are part of the eleven victims. Their neighbors are surprised, unbelievers, angry; they deny they were in bad steps, which is why they repudiate the way they died. On Rucias Negras street believe it was a confusion, some call it ′′ being in the wrong place at the wrong time ".

The child who was injured in the shooting is the son of 'El Güero', his name is Alexis, he is 13 years old: He received several hits, police believe he was a victim of the crossfire, because it is presumed that someone repelled the aggression, but even the prosecutor's office has not been able to establish who.
At the scene were the beers that the bricklayers were taking when they were killed: the cans are stained with blood, also, there are other items such as lighters, cigarette boxes and some butts.

A bricklayer who worked with 'El Güero' and who left half hours before the site where the crime occurred, reported that weeks ago, the National Guard came to the construction site where the victims worked and asked them if they knew where they were selling drugs, so They had report, they pointed out unknown.
Military arriving in the colony, May 5, indicated that they are aware of a point in the area where drugs are sold, but the indications do not indicate the homes where the victims were living.

Family of people killed are leaving their homes for fear of retaliation. On Sunday, some were seen pulling various valuables from home, such as television and documents, to go elsewhere.

I've seen alot of execution style pics and vids from Mexico here but never noticed any candles, they still look like glasses of milk to me.

i noticed the candles for the first time a while ago and wondered what was with all the milk glasses appearing everywhere when people in that part of the world die and simone explained to me that they are actually candles. i still think it is milk tho too, lol.

“Eleven killed and two wounded was the toll of an attack perpetrated by heavily armed individuals in a gathering that took place at the intersections of Avenida Pemex and 5 de Mayo in the La Jauja neighborhood in Tonalá Jalisco.

Recently there has been a large presence of organized crime in the area and elements of the National Guard that arrive after the massacre have been patrolling the region without much success.

The role of the Government of Mexico to combat organized crime has been questioned, because instead of confronting them, they release the plaza bosses.

To add to the stories of terror is the massacre that occurred this afternoon in the La Jauja de Tonalá neighborhood in Jalisco, where an armed group attacked ten people who apparently were engaged in the business of construction and right around the corner, the body of a child that had been shot.

Police recovered over 70 spent casings, apparently the victims were sitting on the sidewalk drinking some beer after work when two trucks full of armed sicarios arrived and opened fire.

Throughout the country, there have been numerous massacres in the last two months, the National Guard has shown that it has the appropriate equipment to take on organized crime, but they have failed to stop the massacres.“
