Married Couple Murdered by a Robber Inside Their Home
Sumatra, A husband and wife died in an alleged robbery-turned-murder incident that occurred on the early morning of Monday, around 2:30 AM. In the incident, a husband died at the scene, while his wife suffered serious injuries and received medical treatment before eventually being declared dead. The male victim, identified as H.B.T (26), worked as a self-employed individual. His wife, I.Y.R (22), was a housewife. The crime was first reported by a witness who was a neighbor of the victims. The witness heard loud crashing sounds and cries coming from the victim's house in the early morning. Because the situation initially seemed calm and no cries for help were heard, the witness initially thought nothing serious had happened. However, after the sounds resumed, the witness approached the victim's house to check the situation. While near the victim's house, the witness saw the door of the house open and found a young man inside the house. Feeling suspicious, the witness then called his friend to check the situation inside the house together. After entering the house, the two witnesses found the husband and wife in an unconscious state. At almost the same time, the witness also saw a man wearing dark clothing leaving the scene. The alleged perpetrator was arrested less than 12 hours after the incident. Police had arrested a man with the initials RF (24) who was strongly suspected of being involved in the incident. From the results of the initial investigation, the temporary motive for this alleged crime is related to an act of theft that the victim was aware of, which resulted in an act of violence. However, the police emphasized that the motive and series of events were still being investigated. |
