Re: Marco Simoncelli R.I.P
This is today's issue cover of "La Gazzetta dello Sport": for the first time since 1896, the newspaper, always published on distinctive pink paper, was published in white with black columns, as sign of mourning They've also published a photo taken from a different angle showing how also Valentino did run over him, unlike it was initially guessed/reported and also Valentino's manager stated that "he suddenly found him on his way and couldn't avoid him" Doctors from the circuit's medical centre reported that he suffered injuries to the back, to the chest and to the neck, adding that though only autopsy may estabilish it, all them were potentially fatal due to their seriousness. I've also found a video showing his fall from the bike: taken from an onboard camera, guess mounted on Bautista's bike: at 0:17 can be seen, when he lost control, even the black strike left on the asphalt by his rear tyre. |

Re: Marco Simoncelli R.I.P
Never heard of the guy... It's probably for the best that he died though, I don't think he would of won many events with that racing style... I heard he was trying to pick up a coin off the road when he was hit from behind by Capirossi. How tragic, I hope they chucked 50c in his grave so he didn't die for nothing. |
