In the 1990s I was an eyewitness to a head-on collision like this that killed four people. It was on a divided interstate highway with a very wide gap between the north and southbound lanes. But even with the wide gap, it only took a second or two for an out-of-control car to shoot across the gap and smash into an oncoming pickup truck. There are many highways in my area (and everywhere, I imagine) where opposing traffic is divided by nothing more than a painted stripe on the road. The point is, it just isn't feasible to install dividing walls everywhere. Sometimes shit just happens. It's just the random nature of our universe.  |

And... watching this video repeatedly, I hope the driver of the TAILGATING black car suffered grievous injuries from this. Just before the impact occurs, notice how close he is to the red car. Just ridiculous.
