One man died and another was injured after an accident involving a bus on line 249 in Maracanã, Rio de Janeiro's North Zone, on Wednesday afternoon (01).

One of the victims, identified as Cesar d.S.G., died on the spot. The other victim, identified as Alan A.d.S., was rescued and taken to a hospital in the center of Rio. There is still no information on Alan's state of health.

According to family members, Cesar was working in a workshop when he was hit and dragged by the bus. The bus driver was taken to the police station to give explanations about the possible causes of the accident.
