The body of a man, identified as Valdinei d.S., 38, was found decapitated on Sunday morning (11) on the banks of the BA-250 highway in Bahia state, Brazil, near where he worked as a bricklayer's assistant. According to the police, it is not known for sure if the victim was killed on the spot, or if the body was just dumped there - nearby residents didn't report any strange movements in the hours leading up to the discovery.

In Canápolis, Minas Gerais state, a man, whose identity has not been released, was beheaded by a neighbour after an argument. When police arrived at the scene, they found the victim's body decapitated with his head inside a plastic bag.

According to witnesses, the victim and the suspect used to drink and argue constantly over a woman they were both fighting over. The suspect was arrested and sent for medical assessment and then to the police station.

At the scene, forensics collected a knife and a hammer with traces of blood near the victim's body.
