actually, its the show offs, uneducated, impatient and other idiots that gets it on bikes. the serious bikers knows not to speed on unfamiliar roads, knows to slow down everytime they see people along the sides, slows down when they know there's intersection ahead, always checks side mirrors before changing lanes, most important is then know its better to use the rear brakes harder than the front. been driving a motorbike for more than 12 years and often up to a speed of 120 kph on safer roads. never had an accident on bike because i observed these rules. slow and steady does it.

driving need imagination and more so with a bike. you see a parked car ahead, expect that someone might just ran out of it anytime and slow down. you see bushes ahead, expect an animal or human might just pop out and cross so slow down... have to be ahead of the scenario. always better to be safe than sorry. besides, slowing down gives your back a rest you need when you're constantly driving hunched over your bike.

yeah you might be the safest driver in the world but as youre driving your bike obeying the rules/laws the guy in the truck next to you doesnt check the lane next to him and swerves over and nails you. just cause youre safe doesnt mean everybody else is.

i always try to look farther ahead and watch oncoming vehicles. it one acts funny, i swerve away as far as i can. and i dont like big trucks behind or beside me when driving with considerable speed. i let them go ahead.
