Yeah, there isnt that much you can do, but you should probably at least try to run down stream, and see if you can intercept him with a stick or something. If not, go find an empty plastic bottle or something that floats, and throw it to him. Or, just be a "moral" support and shout him not to panic and go with the flow. It seemed like he got out of the worst spot, where the water was swirling in a loop. If you are not a good swimmer, or don't know how to swim at all, then stop moving and try to lay on your back - many people don't know this, but you will actually float, even if you don't move. This is a good way for even pro-swimmers to rest when they get tired. |
