Well, that's because you are blind. BLM and crime have nothing in common. They are NOT protesting blacks dying from crime. They are protesting blacks dying from racism. They aren't going to start magically marching about black on black deaths, because that murder issue is just an attempt to side-track what the protests are about.
Once we solve the one problem, we can get to work on the next. It's progressive. But it all starts with bad cops, and how you can get rid of them, so you can make things better.

Fortunately, the BLM movement is wisely not letting itself be side-tracked with this different argument. The subject is criminal police. That's the subject and the target, and the reason for the protests.

Right.. let's be real for a minute and talk about what no one is allowed to talk about now.

BLM wants to martyr every black that gets gunned down by cops. Every single one. No matter the circumstances.

If someone pulls a gun on a cop, no matter if their black, red, yellow, green or white.. they'll be met with retaliatory gunfire... fact.

Can we discuss black on black crime for a minute? Or how about the single mom rate in black communities. Can we discuss the black population that is shot by black cops? Because it is disproportionately larger than white cops shooting black people. Can we discuss the amount of white people shot and killed (per capita) by cops?

No, no one can. Because it doesn't fit the agenda and no one wants to talk about it. "African american" culture has leaps and bounds to cross before we can have that discussion. Anyone that even hints to those things is automatically ostracized.

A conversation can not even be had on civil terms.

So let all these cops file their retirement papers and/or resign from the force. It's happening. Self goverign and see how it works out.

A serious, very deep root discussion will need to be had that has to include self awareness before change is made. This isn't/won't/can't be a blame game... and unfortunately that's where we are. Accountability will need to be had... i mean fuck... some? It's all blame.

If in the video the killer just stood there after shooting the guy in the head, smirked at the camera and waited for the cops to arrive. Only for the cops to arrive and give him a pat on the back, recommend him for a promotion at his job, and don't even bother to arrest or press any charges... it would be a similar incident to what people are protesting about when it comes to police brutality.

When it comes to regular street violence, the killers are locked up with harsh sentences. When it comes to police officers that are criminals, they're rarely convicted so justice is rarely served... meaning the system condones their behavior.
