Re: Man Streams His Suicide on Facebook Live
First of all, brilliant work by police for showing up in time to attend to the aftermath of an imminent suicide for which they were amply and unambiguously forewarned. Additional accolades to the cop who decided to show up and walk through a potential crime scene in flip-flops. Further, I feel much better now about our nation's capacity for timely emergency response. I'm also consoled by our nation's capacity and competency to identify cases of mental illness, and to provide timely and effective palliative treatment for said afflictions. Keep up the good work. |

My son, an Iraq vet, had 9 causes of death listed on his death certificate. Apparently, 22 Iraq vets take their lives every single day. Perhaps if the U.S. would quit invading other countries it might help? |

Re: Man Streams His Suicide on Facebook Live
"TEACHER TIME." In my 'very humble opinion,' the sad truth is, that this man met the wrong person. (Why did he accept anything other than 'lovely, kind, honest and gracious) He had such low self worth, he let her walk all over him. He seems to have literally put her first in 'anything and everything.' He let her take advantage of him, and let her abuse him, horrifically. Well, he eventually snapped. Understandably. I'm so glad he finally did find his 'voice!' That he stood up for himself. Sadly, he didn't value himself enough to kick her to the curb, and let the universe find him a partner that will be 'utterly precious, and PERFECT for 'him.' Very sadly, I think that he might have had the stupid, outdated, and irrelevant 'Small man syndrome.' You can see in the pictures that he posted, that this man is on the 'small side.' You can hear in his voice that he has battled for a long time with self worth, insecurity, and is 'sick and tired' of being taken advantage of, and 'played.' You can hear it in his voice, in his own mind he finally found his strength, his worth, his inner 'GOD COMPLEX!' I'm just so sad that he took his own.... his own 'Life,' |

Re: Man Streams His Suicide on Facebook Live
Strangely, the heart can pump for a few minutes without a brain signal. The problem in situations like this is that the complete loss of blood pressure usually causes the heart to cease functioning sooner than that. I'm not sure how long that is. I'm sorry about your son :(, but it's not quite that simple. The suicide rate for non-deployed veterans is actually HIGHER than that of deployed veterans. Strange, but true. |
