Re: Man Streams His Suicide on Facebook Live
Man, that's heart wrenching. Knowing he streamed this live on FB for all his friends and family to see. The constant notification sounds and chat ringtones from social media in the background, as he's sitting there contemplating to end his life... Supposedly so "close and connected" with everyone through social media, yet there he sat, all alone. I dunno, really felt like being immersed in the depressing, void, meaningless world that his life became... I genuinely feel sorry for the guy, that he saw no other way than this.. but feel even more sorry for his poor mother and everyone else he left behind. Really not trying to judge, but come on... is a relationship that lasted three months worth killing yourself over? Didn't he learn to move on from those types of setbacks in life, by the age of 33? And yeah, he lost his job too... So what? The search for a new job could have been a good way to get his mind off certain things and focus on something productive. In the end, if she wanted to go her separate way, he should have respected that and do the same. Clinging on to your ex and wanting to talk things over, etc.. is a waste of time. If the relationship could have somehow been miraculously saved by talking things over, she wouldn't have been worth it to begin with, because of the emotional pain she put him through by breaking up and then talking and reconciling, instead of addressing issues as they go along and working on them before reaching the decision to break up. And either way, the emotional blackmail he showed in the video, demanding to talk to her with the threat of ending his life, only proves he wasn't fit to be in a relationship... you don't subject anyone to this kind of emotional torture, least of all the one you love. |

Re: Man Streams His Suicide on Facebook Live
I despise how he called out so many people by name, saying it was basically their fault for not reaching out sooner. So fucking selfish to deliberately cause pain & blame. I lost my partner last January (not suicide), and now live alone in our large house with my little dog. Stupidly enough, seeing that tiny little dog enter the room after "Ronnie" offed himself was the first thing I've actually felt in a long time. |

My inbox is always open if you need someone to talk to. I have no experience with what you've gone through, but sometimes it helps just to vent to someone.

Sorry for your loss... A break-up, depending on who's the one breaking up, can leave an immense emptiness that's hard to cope with, but eventually is something of the past and you just move on. The pain of your loved one passing away though.. that's pain on a whole other level. So sorry to hear you have been forced to cope with that, man. |

Re: Man Streams His Suicide on Facebook Live
Quick Take: So I'm guessing a closed casket then? Long Take: I only know what the video showed but he seemed to be blaming people for his state. To call out his mom and Buck(?) live on air and then to kill himself for all those watching to see speaks to the tenor of selfishness and being punitive. This is a far cry from the suicides from despair that we see. I think of the teenage girl who hung herself in the tree while you can hear people searching for her in the background. I believe her last words were "I'm sorry." This guy was so full of anger and maybe rightfully so to some degree though it seems he blamed his failures on others. Then again, in the world of COVID-19, perhaps it truly was more than he could bear. I feel for the survivors and the cleanup crew. Hail Hydra! |
