We can't forget that we are seeing another change in how we communicate as a society.

I'd wager that most of those here who are expressing a "why is he streaming", viewpoint are probably in the 30+ demographic...and I'm in the 40+.

We are seeing how a generation who have never known a world without social media, and more importantly, live streaming, deals with tragedy.

It's not going to be comparable to previous generations, and the truly crazy thing is that it will be as incomprehensible to most in another 50 years, but not because of the same reasons.

This man just lost his brother, and all his actions are is a modern day cry of grief. He's reaching out to his peers in the format they use.

...that's it.

The death rituals of yore will probably be as foreign to us now as this is, but the grief is real regardless of how it's expressed.
