Re: Man Stabbed to Death While Praying in a Mosque in France
thanks! there are probably better vids and/or photos out there somewhere; apparently the killer was filming himself and possibly taking pictures to post on social media. he was allegedly communicating with someone before the attack too |

Re: Man Stabbed to Death While Praying in a Mosque in France
Olivier is the 11th child in the family. His parents, including his father Safet Hadzovic, being Bosnian Romans migrated to France in 2001, reportedly without legal status initially. Their asylum application was rejected, but they remained in France. Olivier was born in 2004 and later on got unemployed, living on French welfare benefit. He was reportedly socially isolated, spending much of his time playing video games. Olivier was unknown to police and judicial authorities, with no prior criminal record. On April 27, 2025, Olivier Hadzovic surrendered to police in Pistoia, Italy, accompanied by his aunt and Italian lawyer, Giovanni Battista Salvietti. He confessed to stabbing Aboubakar Cissé approximately 57 times in the Khadidja Mosque and filming the act, which he briefly posted online. His aunt convinced him to turn himself in after he fled to her home in Tuscany, seeking refuge. Hadzovic consented to extradition to France, and the process expected to be completed around May 10–15, 2025, due to an accelerated procedure. He is currently detained in an Italian prison, and moved to a higher-security facility due to risks from other inmates. French authorities, led by Nîmes prosecutor Cécile Gensac, are preparing for his return to face charges of “murder with premeditation and motivated by race or religion,” which carries a potential life sentence. Despite anti-Islamic remarks in the video (e.g., “ton Allah de merde”), the prosecution ruled out terrorism, focusing on his psychological state. This has sparked debate, as Cissé’s family and advocates argue the attack was Islamophobic. Great find |

Re: Man Stabbed to Death While Praying in a Mosque in France
Considering in the Koran it says 8:12 say "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve So strike above the necks and strike off every fingertip of theirs”, I find this action strangely satisfying. Poetic justice?
