~ In the end, she mentions that she (finally) got the call.
So whoever was supposed to buy the loot didn't show up or was delayed.
Therefore the poor dead guy got accused of trying to steal the loot, since he didn't have the money ready.
Thanks. It made absolutely no sense without the explanation. Makes even less with it. But I am at peace. Almost.
