Man Shoots Dead His Girlfriend and Later He Died by Suicide
A man shot dead his girlfriend on a busy road in India and later jumped in front of a vehicle on Wednesday. He later succumbed to injuries. Police said, at around 3.30pm, K. Y. (26) was having an argument with his girlfriend N. M. (21) and he pulled out a country-made pistol and shot at her from behind at close range. She collapsed on the floor and he tried to shoot himself in the head next but the gun jammed. After that he fled from the spot. Around 500 meters away from the spot, he jumped in front of a Central Industrial Security Force vehicle that was moving on the road. He sustained serious head injuries was rushed to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to injuries. Police have taken custody of the pistol that was found on him. The accused and the victim were identified based on the identity cards found on them. The reason behind the killing and suicide is under investigation but Police suspect the incident to be a fallout of a love affair between the deceased. |
