Actually it's one of the most peaceful. I had a friend who went through it and told me about it. The only painful part physically is when the water rushes down your lungs,  he said it burns like a bitch. But after that it's pretty peaceful as you remain conscious while waiting to pass out and die slowly .....floating  ......downward
