In Kalifornia, model rocket launches YOU! Kind of an Evel Knievel "Lite"... Record for jumping a Lincoln Town Car limo? Guy had a sense of humor and the Flat Earth thing was just a marketing gimmick. Wasn't Evel Knievel's Grand Canyon jump rocket steam powered also, and didn't its parachute deploy too soon? I never watched it on TV in the 1970's, I think I was watching Starsky & Hutch or Beretta and didn't want to change channels... |
