he have a point think it this way, if you fly helicopter in the air, and remain in the same area for like 30 minutes, you'll land in the same area if the earth is moving then why the helicopter land in the exact same place?

First of all, your premise is incorrect as helicopters once off the ground are at the mercy of the air currents and the only way they hover in the same place is with pilot input countering the currents. However let’s assume your asinine logic and that the winds of the earth are dead calm for 30 minutes. The atmosphere is moving with the rotation of the planet.
