The launch event was being filmed for the Science Channel television series Homemade Astronauts, in which Hughes was to star.

^^ This means there is a very real chance that there is some HQ footage and possibly even audio/onboard footage. Let us gorehounds pray for a leak.
Homemade Astronauts?! OMFG...I can just imagine what kind of stupidity the "Science" channel is hawking on this show. More idiots like Rocket Man, no doubt. Too bad it won't be something as entertaining as Andy Griffith.

He should have added an ejection system with a second chute on his back but I guess it wouldn't be enough time without other systems telling him the chute came out on launch. Least he probably died fast with a solid impact like that.
