Song....Early in the evenin', just about supper time. Over by the courthouse they're starting to unwind. Four kids on the corner trying to bring you up. Willy picks a tune out and he blows it on the harp. [Chorus] Down on the corner, out in the street.

Re: Man Pancaked After Two Vehicles Collide at Intersection
Love love LOVE me some Fogerty ! I won a Fogerty signed Les Paul custom back in late late 90's during some promotion being done to celebrate him "getting a star" laid on the Hollywood Boulevarde. It is my pride and joy. I have played it a bit, but I get paranoid about it getting scratched or bumped. I have my own LP, so I just keep it now as an investment - it has the certification paperwork, photo's of John signing it, as well as the road case and a few more things. Fogerty doesn't sign a lot of axes, go through the listings online, genuine ones are starting to feel as rare as rocking horse shit. It started a collectors bug in me, and I've got a few lovely pieces now. I've got a nice Fender (just a tele) signed by Joe Perry in 2005 during their "Rockin The Joint" tour - and Cheap Trick were the openers for a few dates so I managed to get Rick Nielsen to sign a Gibson Explorer (much later model though, a 2002). I've almost had to sell some stuff over the years, but it will have to literally be a question of life and death (wife or kids) before I could bring myself to do it. ROCK & ROLL BABY !!!!!!!!!!!! |

You lucky bastard ! I've tried a few times to get Clapton to sign including waiting almost 10 hours at a winery he was staying at - but his PA said he was not coming back out until the next day, and I simply had to get back to the city for work. I've got two signed by Keith Richard including a beautiful Martin electric acoustic (he is excellent at signing stuff, if you wait, and he possibly can, he will sign), and Ronnie Woods signed his own model ESP black for me (with a nice silver marker, it really stands out). What else you got dude - this is fucking great ! |
