A man from Palembang was found dead in a horrific condition in a rented room on Jalan Cinangka, Ujungberung, Bandung City, on Monday (April 6, 2026).

Ujungberung Police Chief Dadang Gurnadi explained that the victim's body was first discovered by residents living next door to the rented room.

The discovery began when residents smelled a foul odor coming from the victim's room. They then reported their suspicions to the landlord and the local neighborhood association (RT) administrator.

"Witnesses then forced open the door and found a man hanging from the bedroom door frame," said Dadang.
