Some context info: Military Policeman E. V. S., 37, died on Monday (18), after a cardiac arrest, in Belém, Pará. He was hospitalized in serious condition after being hit in the head with an iron rod in the last day 11 by a 44 year old man, during a police action. According to the Military Public Ministry, the aggressor was in a psychotic outbreak and resisted 17 rounds of rubber bullets. The Police was called in by residents who reported threats from a man who was "upset" and armed with an iron bar on the street. A video of the police action shows the moment when four policemen fire rubber bullets at the suspect, who continues to advance against the military. In the images, E. runs on his back with the gun in his hand when he falls to the ground and is assaulted by the man. The soldier was hit by blows to the head with an iron rod and suffered head trauma. The team reacted and shot deadly ammunition at the man, who died at the scene. The corporal was rescued and taken to the Metropolitan Regional Hospital of Ananindeua. |
