The bottom line is you're up about six feet off the ground on a platform with no rails. Your every move should be calculated. You should be aware of where you are in relation to the edge. And you should have a firm grasp of the package you're handling. He just looked so nonchalant and care-free up there. Just a giant dufuss. This is all on him.

I worked in a shithole when i was a youngster . They sent me up on the forklift legs up the top of a truck trailer unloading. Same thing happened. Banding snapped i went flying off the forks down from the top of the trailer and landed on my back and broke my arm. Successfully sued them for a very substantial amount. This was the days before cameras everywhere so it was quite a labourious process getting statements from every arsehole that saw what happened . Anyway sorry to bore you. Just a comment on why cameras can be good sometimes. |
