Reminds me of an anecdote from Richard "Iceman" Kuklinsky, the Mafia hitman, who once told a pious man that he would allow him to live for a set time in order to give God a chance to save him. Even Kuklinsky admitted he felt sorry for the man when God failed to intervene, but he still killed him

Kuklinski was a monumental bullshitter. I don’t think I believe any of his stories. He probably did 3-4 mafia hits but pretends he’s some badass. The mafia doesn’t seem to have ever given a shit about him and his bullshit stories. If they were true, the mafia would’ve killed him before he spewed his bullshit.
