Yea, I think so. He just looks like a guy who knows it's over. His slow, deliberate movement could a defense mechanism to slow down and gain some control of a situation where he knows he really has none. Or, he might not even be aware of what his body is doing at all, and is just overwhelmed by the reality of his situation. We can also hear people talking nearby that dont seem to be bothered by the (possible) 3 dudes (look at the arms) using what looks to be the same cow-print(?) handgun to dome this guy. Also, one of the dudes looks like he is wearing a red long-sleeve shirt with a yellow stripe that seems like it would be pretty hard to miss in broad daylight. |

My theory is, they told him his life would last as long as he could sustain that branch up in the air. Needless to say his arm eventually got tired and the rest is history. Reminds me of an anecdote from Richard "Iceman" Kuklinsky, the Mafia hitman, who once told a pious man that he would allow him to live for a set time in order to give God a chance to save him.
