Two people are dead after a man today went berserk with a knife in the southern Swedish town of Varberg. One is the knife man himself, who was shot by police, according to Local News"

At 10 o'clock this morning(sunday 7 july) came the message to the police that a man in his 40s was stabbed in the center of Halland City. Then, an hour later, a 18-year-old man was stabbed.

Police scanned area and found a woman in her 80s that was stabbed at her home. She died of her injuries.

People in city centers were asked to lock the doors, in fear that the man would hurt more innocent people. Police eventually found the suspected perpetrator and surrounded him.

- He would not drop the knife. Then we shot a warning shot before we shot with sharp, Says the head of Halland-police section for felonies.

- I heard a total of seven shots, says witness.

I don't see a reason in the video to shoot the poor bastard...very unlike Swedish police; they mostly realize that they are there to protect people and keep them alive, rather than keeping themselves safe by killing the offenders as soon as they get a chance to. I'd expect this of the loosely regulated lynch mob called the police in the US but never from a first-world, civilized nation like Sweden. The perp must have had sex without a condom or something, those kinda things tend to be the ones the Swedish law gets most excited about.
