Re: Man with Knife Attacks Officer and Gets Lit Up

He kept playing with his ass and almost ended up dead...he Michael Myersed his ass in the end 9 center mass. A 45 cal would have stopped him faster
There's no such thing as a "best stopping power caliber" nothing beats marksmanship, which was lacking in the video.

A .22 cal in the nose would stop him instantly whereas a .50 cal 1/32th of an inch to the side of his head will not do any damage.

9 rounds and he is still in the fight and people ask why didnt he shot him in the knee? You can be killed by the person you just killed.

Re: Man with Knife Attacks Officer and Gets Lit Up

And people wonder why cops keep shooting at violent suspects. Dude was shot multiple times and kept coming.

People tend to forget that the human body can actually suffer considerable damage and continue to function even when mortally wounded. Mammals as a whole have evolved multiple overlapping systems to eke out as much time as possible to fight or flee.

About the only way to drop someone in their tracks is when the central nervous system suffers catastrophic damage.

Even when such damage does occur, it doesn't mean that death is instant, as severing the spinal cord along any of the thoracic vertebrae will quite handily drop someone, but it's not going to kill them for quite some time.

One example of such resilience can be seen in the combat footage showing the actions of John Chapman back in 2002.

While there is a tendency to embellish actions such as his, there is no doubt that he suffered catastrophic damage, but kept on going for an utterly insane period of time.

Re: Man with Knife Attacks Officer and Gets Lit Up

9 bullets and the guy still gets him. "He should've just shot him in the leg and it would've ended everything and everyone would still be alive." - Joe Biden

Yes, he really said that. Because he totally saw it in the movies.

Re: Man with Knife Attacks Officer and Gets Lit Up

This is exactly why you don't shoot at legs, arms or taser when there is a weapon involved.
