Clearly a heated argument between neighbors. Father and Son duo could have just backed away, but didn't. Their neighbor could have backed down, but didn't. The neighbor was armed with a bat (you'll hear him ask for the bat and have it handed to him by another man, just before J shoots two rounds), you can see him throw it at J just after J fires two shots from his Glock. J's son seeing the bat heading their direction fires his shot gun. Completely insane and quickly escalating events unfold in just 2 short minutes. Police say there was a call, they were responding to the scene, but were short officers as they had over 40 other priority calls at the time.

K fought back tears Thursday as she recalled the morning her common-law husband was shot to death in a dispute over a twin mattress in a dumpster.

I stepped in between A and J, then my ears started ringing from the gunshots, B said in a telephone interview from her home in Abilene as she sobbed. I just screamed and screamed.

B talked about the fatal shooting just hours after releasing a video of the dispute between her husband and his neighbors.

The 2-minute video captures the anger between the A and J on the morning of Sept. 1 in an Abilene neighborhood. Abilene is about 150 miles west of Fort Worth.

B captured the tragic scene on her cellphone as she sought to gather evidence for Abilene police.

The M's (father & son) were arrested shortly after the shooting and they have been charged with murder. The two were released after posting $25,000 bail.

A man who answered the phone at the M's home declined to comment about the case on Thursday.

B released the video to let residents know exactly what happened that morning.

Arguing with fat stupid people holding guns over a piece of garbage in a dumpster? That seems to be the definition of stupidity / crazy. I wonder what the courts will say about shooting a guy who throws a bat at your dad's head. Texas has "stand your ground" law, but I can't remember the details.
