One man was killed and another was injured in an afternoon shooting inside a barbershop on Labor Day in Dorchester, Boston, Massachussetts. The deceased was identified as 20-year-old Elijah R.C., whilst the other victim, while taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, is expected to survive.

No arrests have been made. Investigators quickly said the shooting was not random, but have not disclosed more.

Some sources claim that Elijah was a rapper, using the stage name 'Demonman', and that his murder may be related to a diss track he had posted last year. The other victim of the shooting is believed to have been a collaborator of Elijah, having appeared in some of his music videos.
