looks to me like they were burning him with the blade after they heated it up since if u look closely the first couple inches of the blade is black with soot as if it just came out of the fire

I thought he was just trippin balls and freakin out about the knife touching him too. However, the end of the blade appears blackened, as if they've been holding it in a fire off camera. ie, burning him.
